Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This website, thebridged.io, is run by Wahid Amjad, trading as The Bridged ("I", "me"), in the United Kingdom. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: support@thebridged.io.

Email sign-up

When you enter your email address, it is stored with Resend, the service I use to send email. I use it only to send you my writing, updates and releases. You get a short confirmation email when you sign up. Every later email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me to delete your address at any time. Legal basis: your consent.

Booking a call

The "book in with me" link takes you to Calendly. Anything you enter there (your name, email and your answers to the booking questions) is collected by Calendly under its own privacy policy and shared with me so I can prepare for and hold the call. I keep it for as long as we are working together, or until you ask me to delete it. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records basic technical details of each visit (your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the time) in server logs for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept briefly and are not used to identify or profile you. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.

Fonts

The page's typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request (including your IP address) to Google's servers to fetch it. Google processes this under its own privacy policy. No cookies are set by this.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The site does not currently use analytics or advertising tools and does not set tracking cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and any non-essential cookies will ask for your consent before they are set, as UK law requires.

Links to other sites

The page links to YouTube, Instagram, X, Twitch, Bandcamp, Timemaxx, Creative Foundations and Calendly. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy, which applies once you are there.

How long data is kept

Your email address is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Booking details are kept as described above. Server logs are kept according to Vercel's retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the data I hold about you, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. Email me at the address above. If you are not happy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. If you live outside the UK, you also have the rights your local law gives you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
